3d studio Max is more technical 'tho. You can do alot more with it! I perfer it honestly not to mention my all-time fav. PhOtOsHoP!

Photoshop

I'm more of an abstract guy. I take areas of color then smear and filter then into something unique and attractive.

I use photpaint and photoshop. For 3d I use Rhino3D. If you want to go more into illustrations try Illustrator. All of the programs we use dont come cheap

Depends on the look and the type of design I'm aiming for.
The programs I use vary from Bryce, 3D Max, Terragen and Tricept to PhotoShop, Xara and Fractal.
Dammm!! I just came to realize that I have spend way too much money on this programs >

A hint, you can get Photoshop for $380, and you can get Photoshop, Illustrator, Golive, and Live Motion for under $300 - educational prices.

Get the pack (like the Web Pack) and you'll get four of the programs for less than you can get a single program at the educational price.
