Spacemonger reporting incorrect file sizes

Incredibly small files being reported as incredibly huge

from Stardock Forums

I'm experiencing a problem with the current version of Spacemonger where just about every scan some files are being reported incorrectly. I can't say how many are being reported incorrectly, but at least some files are getting shown as 8GB.

If you want, I can send you a screenshot, just email me. Scanning works fine in older versions of Spacemoner.

I'm also having this issue, and I have been for a long time. Tiny files in my user profile are reported as 8 GB in size and it completely dominates the display, making it very hard to find the files that are really using the space.

I uploaded a screen shot here: https://ln.sync.com/dl/850898090/wxhpvpfc-j4d572p6-9pbdqqis-6vy4yn79 - in this screen shot a directory that is 3.6 megabytes in size is being reported as almost 500 gigabytes.

While I was making this screenshot I noticed that the Size is right, the Phys Size is way off.

Same here. For me, the issue seems to be with the program FileBot. Spacemonger reports a size of 50GB, while explorer shows it is only a few MB.

Is this due to sparse files, most of my 8589934592 size files are showing with the sparse property.
