recent downloads don't work...

Bonzo, I had the same problem. Anything posted in the libraries within the past 24 hrs (approx) refused to download (http error 404). Finally updated the libraries on my Wincustomize Browser, surfed the site using that and got Pasley's 'Navy' to download on the first try---woo hoo! Still don't know what the problem is but it was driving me up the wall

I cant see any wallpaper images dont in the last 24 hours.

Same here with the images. Me wanna see the new desgins of the logons..

i'm getting pretty tired of this problem, but becuase wincustomize totally rules i can't just go somewhere else. i hope they can fix this soon, i go to this site like 20 times a day (no joke) so i'm guessing me and many others are going through withdrawal

I have noticed when I try to DL a WB using my Fresh Download accelerator, I will get "File not Found", and when I click on the DL button, it will automatically start downloading into my Internet Temporary File and not give me any options to DL it anywhere else.

I know everything is being worked on, so I am only adding my findings for future reference.

No problems here at all. But, I'm a registered user. Still, when I cleaned my cache, and I went to Wincustomize and I had the same problem. So, I closed it and reopened it and I logged on first with my registered password account. No problems. Everything works, all downloads and previews.

Wonder why some have problems and others don't. I don't have a problem downloading. Hum.

I think logged-on customers/apprentice on up users rarely if ever have this experience...it''s usually people who are not registered and download without logging on?

I believe I have found the problem and a cure for those who can't download any of the skins, there seems to have been an addressing error that points to skins . stardock . com rather than skins . wincustomize . com.
Use the following links and you can download my new additions:

Here's an easy way to do the same for any other skins you want to download... right click on download and choose "copy shortcut" paste that url into your browser as the address and replace stardock with wincustomize in the address and that should do it!

I figured I'd better come up with a quick fix rather than an excuse before anthony roberts started drinking our blood and eating our flesh!

That might cure "YOUR download prob" but will that fix the previews for the masses?

yeah, that works, if you open teh links to teh screenshots or downloads in a new window, replace "stardock.com" with "wincustomize.com" it works. i think there was an earlier problem not too long ago with everything point ing wincustomize.net instead of wincustomize.COM. hope this clears up teh issues.

Never said it would fix the previews, just the downloads, but the problem is the same. I don't think anyone wants to copy/paste and correct the address for every picture!

Self serving??...after about a gazillion emails you're damn right! ..but it also serves everyone else who is having the same problem with any of the new skins here. I know my mailbox was not the only one that runnith over! I just went the extra yard and figured it out. Now everyone with new skins up can post the proper url for their download in their comments section rather than having a bunch of comments that tell them their skin can't be downloaded. I'm sure if you had any new skins up you'd be in the same boat and could relate.
