Removing Star Control Origins Beta

The Star Control Origins Fleet Battles Beta was automatically removed from my computer, but when I opted out of the Founders (press build) beta yesterday and downloaded the full release the Star Control Origins Beta was not removed from my Steam\steamapps\common

Do I need to uninstall and reinstall Star Control Origins to remove the beta files?

You can manually delete them via Explorer. Select it in your Steam Library list, right-click and select Properties. Click the Local Files tab and then Browse Local Files. This will open an Explorer window to the install location. Select all and nuke at will.
