Cannot continue from BETA savegame ?

Can anyone please confirm wether you can or cannot continue from a BETA savegame in the final version ? 

I assume you cannot, as the game always asks me to return to Earth when trying to leave SOL (when loading the BETA savegame in the final version).

If you were on a chapter one only build, you'll have to start a new game to leave sol.

Well, I did update the program.

Started NEW game and still can not leave sol after end of chapter 1?

Do I have to uninstall the older version it says in game list Star control Origin  Vip2 Elite (something like that)

you need to opt out of the beta in steam settings and then there will be a 7.2 gig download

Yes you need to switch to the public build
