I think Star Control has beaten Sins in waiting for a good sequel by a few decades.

For over 25 years I've been waiting for a good sequel to Star Control II, Star Control Origins will fit the bill nicely.  Just because something is top priority to you doesn't mean it's top priority to everyone, who knows Sins may announced next E3 *shrugs* who knows.

Like Pyro said, Star Control fans have been waiting 25 years for a proper new Star Control game.

And, keep in mind, it began development 5 years ago.   I wish I had news I could publicly share on Sins of a Solar Empire today but right now the focus is on Star Control.

Anyone who doesn't love Star Control eats yellow snow.

That right. You heard me. :hrmph:

I actually haven't been waiting for a good SC sequel for years...cuz after SC3, I thought the franchise was dead. When I heard about SCO and saw what content was already available, it awakened such childish glee as the world has never seen. And that's only grown the more I see.

Also...I've never played Sin of a Solar Empire. Now I don't want to...not if it'll make me into someone like the one who started this thread.

i played sins of a solar. I would like to see a sequal. At least part of the problem is it was a joint sequal between iron clad, and stardock. If you want to see a aequal i think iron clad has to do it.

Having liked and played both The Ur-Quan masters and Sins of a Solar Empire, I would like to see a sequel for both. That being said - What I've seen so far from this team has me in positive mood.

As always I'm the type to await reviews before I buy anything - but assuming the elements I'm seeing in the videos/previews I've seen so far return throughout the game, Stardock has a buyer in me.

In short - why hate on this game mate? It's fine if it's not your thing, but why come complain about on a forum made specifically for this title? Nevermind the fact that you seem to suggest Stardock could not potentially work on multiple spaced themed games at a time.

Ironclad owns Sins. If there's to be a Sins 2, that's up to them. SCO is not in any way mutually exclusive with that.

you are only “harming” yourself, for the lack of better words, if you deliberately choose not to play sins; especially because someone on internet had audacity to claim that its more deserving of sequel than SC.

but whatever floats your boat.

Note to self, don't accept a lemon snow cone from you if I don't like a certain movie you enjoy :)
