Make Object Dock slide out length ways from the edge of the screen

Is there a way to re-orientate a dock to make it slide out horizontally from the edge of the screen, so it works like a tray? It would be a very useful feature to be able to stack multiple docks with different program types next to each other while saving screen real estate.

Note: This video was done on Windows 7 System. It should works on Windows 8.1 too.
