TOO fat toolbar-buttons when i make my theme!

I get very fat toolbar-buttons when i made my skin. Take a look at this screenshot.. take a look!
How can i fix this?

Put a flat border around the button.

use magic pink (about 2 pixels around each button image should do). then make sure you have transparency enabled when you edit the uis file.
