WindowsFX 6 Causing Windows 10 File Explorer & Desktop To Crash & Reset Repeatedly

Ever Since Windows 10 version 1709 up to and including the April 2018 Update my file explorer and desktop have been randomly crashing no matter what i was doing on my computer. It took me a long time to figure this out, i had to hunt thru my event viewer to find the crash itself and see what was stated under the event. This is what was listed for the crash itself.

After disabling WindowsFX 6, the crashes have ceased. So i was wondering if the support team is aware of this problem and doing something to fix it in the next version release?

This was a clean install as i recently reformatted before installing windowsfx 6, but i'll give it a try.

Please do try it. Sometimes it helps.

I did as you suggested and it seems to be working fine so far. I'll post back later if the crashes return.

In the two days since applying your fix I've not had file explorer or the windows desktop crash and repeatedly reset, so i guess the fix worked. If the problem should ever recur again in the future i now know how to fix it. Thank you for your prompt reply and solution to my problem.
