I think Ashes could be accessible as a viewer e-sport but you need a good caster to communicate what are the exciting parts and also explain the units to an unfamiliar audience.

No I don't, and thank Christ for that. I've yet to play a single e-sport hopeful that didn't feel compromised in order to chase that dream.

I would say Yes! but it comes with a key caveat, it couldn't be live!

Someone made a good point in the other thread about golf where you skip past the part of a player walking to his ball after a shot.

Check this caster out for Supreme Commander - Forged Alliance he is a natural caster, when the action tails off he just increases the replay speed which of cause can be done in Ashes too.

It would be interesting to see Ashes at an e-Sports level, but pacing would be a serious issue for sure.
