WindowFX Bug - Momentum issues

Windows drift offscreen when maximizing, with 'prevent offscreen momentum' checked

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Hook up multiple monitors (optional, but helpful).

2. Start WindowFX as normal.

3. Enable Momentum, and check "Prevent offscreen". Or not. Maximized windows shouldn't float offscreen in any event.

4. Click and hold an unmaximized window by its title-bar.

5. In one fell swoop, drag a window to the top of the screen and let go when the mouse hits the top. This may take a couple tries to perfect, but works best when dragging diagonally.

6. Notice the window becomes maximized. [Correct behavior]

7. Notice WindowFX utilizes Momentum anyways and pushes the window offscreen (likely onto the second monitor). [Incorrect behavior]

8. Notice WindowFX utilizes Momentum to push the window offscreen whether or not "prevent offscreen" is checked. [Incorrect behavior]

Hello,

I can't reproduce your problem.

If your second monitor on top it will just drift to the top monitor. If its on the side it will bounce back down.

if you release your click at the very edge of the monitor, this sometime will register by windows that you want to maximize your windows. And windows will maximize it. But never will it drift to the top monitor in its maximize state. Please view my video below.

Please provide a simple video grab and link it here so we can understand your problem better.

Thanks.

Thanks for the response.

I'll take a video or screengrab when I get home to my Windows 10 PC. My second monitor is on the left of my main desktop. When I drag a window to the top of the screen to maximize it, it maximizes, but Momentum keeps affecting the window laterally after being maximized, sending it in the direction of the mouse (left or right) even after being maximized, so part of the window appears on the second screen to the left or gets cut off on the right.

I guess my problem is that I tend to assume that computers can keep up with my requests and I tend to perform UI actions quickly, so I don't want to take the time to drag a window slowly to the top of the screen and slowly stop moving the mouse so that the computer knows I don't want Momentum to reposition it after it maximizes. I can't bear a maximized window drifting at least 10 or more pixels onto the second screen to the left, so I've turned Momentum off until this can be fixed.

Here's a video grab of the issue in question. I've tried to tweak OBS to show a part of my primary monitor as well as my second monitor.

I begin by showing the desired behavior: Maximizing a window by "slamming" the titlebar to the top of the screen. When WindowFX Momentum gets involved, however, things start to go a bit wonky.

It looks like the window stops correctly when maximized in the opposite angle, toward where there is no monitor. But when the mouse is moving toward the other screen, the maximized window slides onto it. None of the checkboxes that seem relevant affect this issue.

Hello,

Okay. I see your issue. Apparently I can't reproduce your problem in my system since I have both monitor in same screen resolution. I have forwarded your report to the Stardock support team for their review and recommendations. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We really do appreciate your feedback, thanks.
