I'm running a GTX 1060 and like you, I don't have any problems with any other game. It seems to be something in Intrigue that's causing it. If you look in the patch notes, Brad said he screwed around with the sizes of the maps, save the largest ones (said he didn't want to get killed). Maybe what he did there messed with the graphics of the biggest maps? I don't know.

In any event, visually, it's not that big of a deal for me. I am wondering though if it does have anything to do with the game freezing on me randomly for 20-30 seconds at a time.

I have the same kind of problem that seems to appear only on ludicrous... when I zoom out all the way, my galaxy gets filled with tiny thin white dotted lines... they disappear as I zoom back in, so it's not unplayable

I can't see it on the screenshots. But I had lines near the top in the fog too when I started my game. I was playing on a huge map so don't think it's related to map size. Not a big deal, but yeah think it's the same issue.

Yes, I have them, too.

hey guys , thank you for comments...
i notice that anti aliasing setting doing this.. when i select anti aliasing , this happens...As axtombo said, its nothing about map size but anti-aliasing option.. disable it and try...
but why ? any solutions without disable AA ?

Huh, have those artifacts on a Radeon Nano Fury at ludicris sizes- I'll try turning the AA off- Thanks for the tip

dlapine1, it worked like a dream for me last night cleaned up my screen and made the rest of my night game much more fun visually.

I dropped the AA to 2x from 4x and that fixed it for me. Great tip!!

Without knowing 100% how the fog of war works, I'm guessing the fog is rendered hex by hex, and it looks like the corners of each hex of the fog have transparency caused by the AA, creating the dots and lines.

I don't mind having AA turned down, personally, but it would be nice if the dev team could fix the AA or just remove 4x since it seems to be the problem.
