Fleet Battles Easter Egg update

Hey folks,

We just wanted to drop you an Easter Egg.  I guess it's not a "good" Easter Egg because I'm telling you about it. :)  Here's a small preview build of a larger upcoming update.

New Content

Meet the Lexites and their new Interceptor!   The Lexites are a post-human, human/AI symbiant beings who have evolved post humanity, gotten bored with us, and left.  We've found one of their ships are putting it to good use. It comes equipped with Dual Shot and Shields.

New weapons:

  • Dual Shot -- fires a fast double shot
  • Shield -- hold down be invincible until you run out of energy
  • Death Ray.  The name explains itself :)

Added new "pilot portrait" animations for the Humans, Scryve, and Tywom.  

Changes/Bug fixes

  • Changed the default planet to "Mars"
  • Ship Explosion and Scryve Flak cannons  VFX are now less expensive
  • Fixed a race condition crash in the animation system
  • Fixed some graphics-related crashes

Shield is so cool.  But Dual Shot is really hard to hit with because the Interceptor turns surprisingly slowly (at least in the extreme case (Measured), vs a Battlecruiser I suppose Dual Shot is hard to miss).
