2.33 vs 2.8

Steam just downloaded GalCiv 3 v2.33 to my computer. The problem is that I had Crusade 2.8 installed.

So, the question is, "Why did it do that?"

The only explanation that comes to mind is that you somehow selected 2.33 in the Beta screen.

To go back to 2.8 right click on GC3 in your Steam library, Properties, Betas tab and change to no beta.

I may have done that. I am still confused about 2.33 being in beta when a newer version is not.

There were some players that preferred the gameplay of 2.33 to newer versions, so it was kept as a legacy beta for them.
