5s Player Tier List - February 2018

Hi,

My ICO account name is letsrock, and recently I started to play Sins again. I'm really enjoying it as the big patch last year has made the game more stable.

As I cap sometimes (to get games going if no one wants to cap), I created a 5s player tier list, based on how people pick, so I can pick more accurately. And I'd like to share it here. There are 4 main tiers: Tier 1 (Top Pick), Tier 2 (High Pick), Tier 3 (Mid Pick) and Tier 4 (Low Pick) plus some special Tiers: Tier 1.5 (Almost Top Pick) and Tier 2.5 (Higher Mid Pick).

Note that I haven't seen many old-timers recently, but will add them to the list if they are back.

Below is the Tier List. In each tier, player names are sorted alphabetically.

Tier 1 (Top Pick)

I beat xwing, UNSC and Sugar all the time. I'm certainly above those guys in tier 2. Also UNSC, Barb and Mj aren't that good they are tier 3 at best.

Thanks for your comment, Krusher.

The players in the same tier are not meant to be completely equal in skills, just that the skill difference of the ones in the same tier is less than the ones between different tiers. Also I wanted to avoid creating too many tiers as it will make it even more error-prone.

To your specific points:

  • xwing always gets picked before you
  • UNSC and MJ are a bit rusty as they haven't played much recently.
  • I haven't seen much of Sugar recently either
  • I agree that you would get picked before Barb, but Barb would get picked before the ones in Tier 3 so I'm not sure.

Anyway I'll look at how to update it.

Hay arbitor here. Why am I tier 3? Suzhi is trash i have beaten him many times. I def better than bags latrit germack unsc sugar rockets

Arbitor: I think those players you mentioned would get picked before you. However:

- I've moved you and some others to Tier 2.5

- Will update again if I see more of you

Please include floating tier (hovers between phat-kid and just above hard ai skill level) and move slackenheimer to the top of it.
