Litestep and windows 2000

Hi can you help me? I went to http://lsdocs.shellfront.org/install.php to uninstall litestep and did the first 2 registry changes. when I came to the 3rd it sounds as though it's the most important one but I can't find it. It says:

HKey_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows>BrowseNewProcess - Make sure that this DWORD is set to "no" so that explorer loads properly. This key effected LiteStep if you were using Internet Explorer 4 and up, if you have an earlier version of Internet Explorer, use a STRING named DesktopProcess, with a value of "0" instead of the DWORD. Basically you need this set to no if you want to have explorer setting itself as shell everytime you access it.

I go to the key it says and in the folder 'windows' there is not the file 'BrowseNewProcess'. Can anyone help me? Is there another way or can I fix this?

That key is supposed to keep the explorer "Shell" from starting when you use the explorer "file manager", IIRC. If it isn't there, I don't hink you have a problem. Some people need to add it when they install LS; since you're uninstalling I think you're fine. If there are additional complications, feel free to post again.

Just double that "t" at the end of don't, and swap it to the other side of the space. I don't know what I was "hinking"...

I seachred reggdit for BrowseNewProccess and I found that it was in a different key. I changed that and now it's working.

I think that key is also set in your "Tools-Folder Options" menu, "View" tab: "Launch folder windows in a separate process". I'm not sure as to why it might appear in multiple locations, or what the consequnces might be. As long as you're running OK I wouldn't worry too much.
