FAQ: Founders vs. Pre-Orders

Tomorrow we will be making Star Control 1, 2, and 3 available on Steam.  We will also make Star Control: Origins available on Steam for pre-orders.

Question: What is the difference between Founders and Pre-Order customers?

Answer:

  1. Pre-Order customers will not gain access to the beta until November. 
  2. They will not have access to this forum
  3. They will not have access to the vault
  4. They will not have access to special Founders builds
  5. They will not get the initial DLCs (standard) or lifetime DLCs (lifetime) we make for Star Control: Origins for free

The Star Control Founder purchase options will be disappearing within the next several hours.

Shit. You took away the ability to update to lifetime while I was asleep.

I guess I can't really complain, it's not like we didn't have some warning this was coming. I just haven't been able to afford it yet (money is a bit tight) and now I've lost the chance. Feels bad, man:-(

As I never got access to any "beta" until this Melee beta, I don't see the first point as being much.

Melee is fun though. Wish I had more time to delve into it and give super awesome feedback.

Dont think so
