References/easter eggs about SC classic aliens in Origins
Origins is in a different universe than the one from the Ur-Quan conflict, so the aliens from the classic games will not be in it. But I thought it would be neat if there were references or easter eggs about the classic aliens that tries to explain why they are missing. Most I imagine might have been destroyed by the Scryve.
Here are my ideas:
Androsynth
In Origins humanity went with robots instead of clones so their absence is easily explained, but there could be a mention of a Hsien Ho, who's research into cloning was outlawed.
Orz
Without the Androsynth there were no dimensional fatigue experiments carried out for it the enter the universe. Might have been responsible for the Scryve civil war.
Ariloulalee'lay
They might be more focused on the Earthlings from the Ur-Quan universe and possibly feel the Scryve aren't that big a threat. But there could be stories in-game of green men piloting flying saucers.
Chenjesu
Considered a threat and wiped out by the Scryve. I wish I had a better idea for them.
Mmrnmhrm
The Mother Ark was too damaged by the long voyage and never started producing them. Alternatively Jeff might of accidentally collied with it and destroyed it. I think some piece of their technology should be lootable, but I am not sure what that would be.
Chmmr
Simple really, no Chenjesu and Mmrnmhrm to fuse into the Chmmr.
Ilwrath
After their change from good to evil a deadly disease appeared on their planet killing them all off, many rituals and sacrifices were carried out with no effect. The disease was the proto-Pinthi and this may have been one of the first tests of the bioweapon carried out by the Scryve.
Mycon
Their planets were visited by the Ancient One and they were consumed.
Spathi
They did not succeed in escaping from the Evil Ones and were all eaten. The Evil Ones critters could still be present on their former home planet.
Syreen
Either they did not escape the destruction of their home planet or they encountered the Phamysht and were invited to be dinner.
Umgah
After their little stunt win the Spathi one of the Umgah decided to scare his coworkers with an Umgah hunter-eater, the creature escaped and eventually killed all the Umgah. I like irony.
Ur-Quan Kzer-Za and Kohr-Ah
They wiped each other out during the first Doctrinal Conflict.
Melnorme
Because the Ur-Quan are gone the Mael-Num never left their area of space, instead they remained to free the Faz from the slave shield while mourning their fallen friends.
Slylandro
Without the Melnorme to sell them probes nobody visited their planet where they live alone and forgotten.
VUX
Eaten by the Phamysht or destroyed by the Scryve. I got nothing better.
Yehat
They never evolved sapience in Origins, on their home planet there could be critters that would look similar to them.
Pkunk
Since the Yehat never left their planet no schism took place.
Shofixti
Never uplifted by the Yehat. Probably exterminated by the Scryve during The Act Of Youthful Aggression.
Druuge
Succeeded in getting the Precursor bomb from the Utwig. Held a big company party on their homeworld in celebration, attendance was mandatory for all members of the Crimson Corporation. During the party someone accidentally spilled a drink on the bomb and it exploded killing off everybody.
Thraddash
Destroyed themselves in thermonuclear war during one of their regime changes.
Utwig
After the destruction of the Ultron and blaming themselves for the death of the Druuge every member of the species performed suicide.
Supox
War broke out between those that believed they were created by another civilization and those that believed in divine origin, eventually leading to their extinction.
Zoq-Fot-Pik
Never defeated the Zebranky, instead they were all eaten by them. The Zebranky could appear as critters on the Zoq-Fot-Pik's former world.
That took a while to type. Anyone have any better ideas?
