IconPackager Strange Behaviours

The Icons are Changing itseft

Hello,

I created my own icons theme. I start from an existing theme, I changed the icon one by one, when all I done, I tried to load my theme.

And Icons changed itseft, some icons are copied from one to another, some are deleted it, etc...

I tried to change all icon in 256x256.

So I tried to recreate my theme from another place on my computer and try to load in the software but i have the same strange behaviour.

I used the theme packager.

I tried to move my theme in the place of default theme in Users/Public.

And the folders type Docs/Music/Videos and live folders aren't changing.

Now i have 3 themes saved and i am needing to remplace the theme sometimes.

Why is it problem ?

What is the good Solution ?

Same here.  Spent more than one week to create my own theme.

Every time when i switch between thems and set my theme current,  all icons will be changed by iconpackager by random.

i have noticed that iconpackager dont save the user icon for hard drive. every time when i change icon for hard drive ickonpackager move original file to backup folder in source folder (not backup in theme folder).

After saving my theme and set currend iconpackager sort icons (...Icon 01,  ...Icon 02 ....) wrong again and move some not changed icons to ...mytheme\backup folder.

Current version from iconpackager is not usable !!!

Please fix it !!!

I am having similar problems. I've found that the package in use gets various, random icons deleted after icon packager loads the package. I've been able to fix this in all areas (except C:\Users\User) by copying the deleted icons back into the package folder from a separate .zip I created before applying with IP. In C:\Users\User a similar situation occurs. Randomised folders get reset to the default windows icons. If I attempt to change these with the IP customize section in the folders tab the same problems arise ie random icons will be deleted from the package and random icons in the C:\Users\User folder will reset. Icon Packager is a hugely frustrating and essentially broken piece of software.

Yeah, I started a support ticket and instantly went on holiday... Bad timing, I know. I'll start trouble shooting again.

I reread the first post and noticed the remark about setting icons to 256 res. In applying this to my icon pack, which was 512, I have fixed most of my issues with IP. Now the main issue is that I can't save any new changes to a new or preexisting pack without various complications.

Basically, I now load the 256 res version of the original pack. disable the "restore all icons before opening a new pack" option. Then apply a customized version of the original pack + some alterations that I had saved earlier. This has solved the vast bulk of the problems I had experienced.

I think IP is fairly unstable on Windows 10, but I'm happy with this fix. Hope it helps
