Event: Community Comp Stomps (2nd September)

Now that v2.4 is out and the second tournament has passed it is time to restart the community events. After having run a little strawpoll the winning game type was "Comp Stomps" with "Team PVP" coming in second. So we will be setting up games pitting players against bots probably around challenging difficulty.

For map selection we will be focusing on the new cooperative maps that everyone got for free with v2.4.

This is a great event for players who do not like to PVP, are still learning the game or just want to relax and have fun with other community players with no stress.

Please show up at least a little time before official start and if you have a mic come chill in the community voice channel.

Sounds like fun, hopefully I can make it out.  I have never played against an AI higher than Intermediate at this point, but I'm considering moving up to the next level as I stomped them last time (but on a tiny map which matters I think).  So I don't think I'm ready for challenging... but I assume we can bring that down if we want to?

Drats, just getting back into Ashes and this sounds like fun, but I'll sadly miss it. Glad to see this game still has a community around it. Hope there's more stuff down the road that I can hop in on.

Don't worry, it'll be team games so you will have support. If you want you can just spectate too.

After 2.4 improved the lobby I am restarting these events. Might aim for doing them every weekend. If the time is not convenient you should let us know. We can alternate times depending on when people are on.

That's a cool idea! I actually haven't had a chance to try the 2.5 update yet, so I won't drag my team down by trying it there, but it'll be a cool change for those who do it!
