Fences spacing

Hello,

Is there a way to align fences like icons are aligned? Fences spacing tends to get all messed up after zoom change, while icon spacing is nicely aligned.

Also, is there a simple way to change zoom level? The magnifier technique is a horrid method; really sucks. The scale and layout method also sucks, it's slow and tedious. The best zoom method is to treat the desktop like a Firefox webpage. Zoom is simple, Ctrl + mouse wheel.
