Henri, Private Eye

Henri, private eye extraordinaire, typed his way through the rapidly darkening forum threads. The previously bright fonts were receding. Diminished illumination, coupled with an eerie quiet interrupted only by staccato updates of new tech constellations.

It was quiet.

Too quiet.

It wouldn't take long now. Henri hurried.

A voice from the shadows calls out, "We went to Skype. Then we went to Discord. The community is fractured."

Silence Spreads...

......... and now, no one talks at all, in all 3 places.

Sorry, did that break the noir feeling of this thread? Let me rephrase:

It's so quiet that the forum is a dead man, now.... except for he's breathing. And dead men are heavier than broken hearts.

Or something like that.

Stirs of activity filled the streets. Echoes. Echoes and shadows, like reminders of the pre-depression hustle. If it wasn't for the case, Henri, private eye, would be suffused in a chocolate induced stupor reminiscing about masters that had gone before. But now there was the case.

Henri did not know much about the case... except that the dame was going to detail it. She called herself "The Community Manager", but other than that her lips had been sealed like a nun before communion. He prayed that it would not be the last of it.

You went to Discord? I didn't see any announcement of a Discord server having been made yet.

The Discord is only for keybearers atm, afaik.

I assumed that might be the case. Easy enough to segregate it though. Been talking about Brad about helping with Discord related matters.

Bizarre thoughts struggled for attention in Henri's mind. An out of tune discord, that shattered the narrative like the beer bottle that starts the flashy part of a bar fight. Not that beer was on Henri's mind; he'd given up on that even before his mother's water broke. Still, the discord nagged at him. Perhaps there was a clue there, if he could only reach it.
