Q: How about multiplayer player numbers?

I have the original aots. I played it a bit.

I haven't bought escalation yet. And was thinking about doing so.

I have a question in relation to multiplayer numbers;
- How many people are playing escalation in multiplayer?
- How is the month to month churn. ie, are there more players this month compared to last?
- How do the player numbers compare to the last month of aots before escalation was released.
- What is the average wait time for players in the top 20. Are they effectively limited to the weekends like previously?
- Is there any chart / player number list to show how many are online right now?

Man i didnt know it was free with the base game too. Guess what im going to do now boys :). Even if the playerbase isnt that big its not gonna stop me from having some fun :)

there still are a number of players, especially on the weekends.. coupled with the face that this latest patch (tomorrow i think?) will eliminate a lot of cheese tactics (like air rushing and killing a player before they can even establish themselves, or cheese sniping an enemy nexus with OP bombers) and will eliminate a number of non intuitive tactics (like double capping on certain maps with certain abilities, and if u dont double cap ur basically dead) which for me makes the game more about strategy and less about cheese-mechanics..

For me, the reason I stopped was no replays. 

 

Still love the game, and have every intention of coming back when replays are available and in full swing. 

 

Just taking a break, because I grinded all the way up to gold, but couldn't bust into gold ranks (got stuck).

 

Found that I was getting cheezed, but couldn't crack how... so... now awaiting replays.

 

Glad to hear balance has changed too.

A lot of frustrating cheese strategies have been nerfed hard in 2.2
