Detailed Guide for Units and their abilities against Enemy-Units?

Hello!

I played Ashes the last weeks but it is still hard to understand for me which advantages all the units have.

In the official guide the units are described with one sentence but that is far less information.

I need information what is every unit good for against other units. Which unit is good against a certain other enemy unit? Some hints, which units are good against dreadnough, which against air units and so on.

I often produce from every unit 1x and group them and send them to enemy but i think this is a fatal mistake, perhaps there are ways to spend less ressources for more powerful army.

Sometimes i build a big army but it is destroyed by only very few enemy units and i dont know why, what happened, it is frustrating.

Is there a more detailed guide or videos or examples for that?

thank you so far

Max

Hi max I can happily help you with advantages of what units have. Might also help to know what faction you tend to play

Welcome! Hope you are enjoying the game and stick with it. Last update there was a change to all of the unit tooltips. If you hover over the unit icons in your factory it tells you the role of what each unit does such as "Zeus: Anti-Frigate Cruiser"

It's a couple of months old, but I made an Explanation where I explain some of how the game works. I also have some Ashes gameplay videos with video commentary where I explain what's going on.

Here is a link to my guide on steam, I cover a little bit about unit comps and what units do. You can also check out my vods on twitch(link in guide) or come by the stream any time and ask questions. Since I've started streaming and helping new players, I've helped 2 folks get to legendary and 3 are currently at rank 5

Quoting GeneralsGentlemen, reply 2

Can you add to the tooltips how much armor penetration a unit has? So far it only says if the unit has armor penetration in general or not. I assumed armor penetration means always full armor penetration, but as you wrote multiple times in the forums by now, it seems there are different values on each unit.
