Where is LAN Multiplayer?

I bought this game (escalation) to find out that LAN multiplayer wasn't supported as it was promised a long time ago (from what I have found).  Where is this feature?  Can we please have this prioritized for the next patch?

I am still waiting for this feature.  I'm sure you all have tons of stuff to do, but I would really appreciate at least an ETA on this feature and an implementation soon.

Multiplayer LAN would be a great feature to have but unfortunately every feature and change we make has an opportunity cost, especially as our team is quite small. It's on the list so it may happen at some point, but it's not a priority. I'm guessing only ~1% of the player base would find it useful.

That is the same kind of thinking when the game came out, that nobody plays SP games...when in reality, the vast majority of the players only play SP with some skirmish games.

There are LOTS of people out there who play LAN games, as well I am sure you know, LAN cafes that cater to people looking to play on the LAN.

That said, I don't think it should take priority over fixing bugs or anything like that, but, it will be a welcomed feature.  It doesn't have to be pretty, people can just enter the IP of the hosting computer, much the same way they do in Supreme Commander.

There are lots of people who play LAN, and besides, if you just make it direct IP, then we can do both LAN and online multiplayer.  Just put a text box for the ip address and port, that will be good enough.   Doesn't have to be fancy, just functional.

Please try to get this feature in.  I know lots of people will love it and appreciate it being in the game.

I would really love direct IP or LAN play. Is somebody working on this? Please implement this. A text field with the ip and port would be great.

Can I get a reply from the developers about this.  It's been over a year now.  Can you please finally implement direct ip and LAN.

Yeah, pretty much this.

There are many people who only want to play on a LAN with no external servers or services required.

Just want to get a bunch of friends together and have a LAN party.

Any update on this.  I really want to play LAN or DirectIP.

Please add this amazing feature to an already great game.

It's been 8 months now, and still no update from Stardock.  Do you care about your customers?  Can you not be bothered to provide an ETA on this feature that you promised?

For that matter, can you please give an ETA on a proper working map editor that's enabled in game by default.

lol ? o_O I'm guessing you're wrong... really.

I also bought Aots and enjoyed the fact that it could some day have a lan support and really think it is a pleasure for many people to have such feature in a RTS.

I like to play with my friend sometimes and no lan support means to me every one interested should buy the game to play, but it doesn't work like this. Most people won't buy the game, just don't even have an opportunity to know a game they could appreciate, and eventually buy for themselves later..

It could be wrong but I think the companies generally try to maximise profit for their products and as a result don't implement lan mode anymore..

Thank's...

LAN would be awesome and so would direct ip connections so people who buy the game through other platforms can play with each other....
