for those of u who havent faced this poor rabbit, this is his single and only tactic in every single ranked match:

spam bombers, snipe enemy HQ...

this is good for the community? it attracts players? it helps grows the community? if he was new, or inexperienced i wouldnt flame him, but he has over 300 hrs in escalation. do u think he knows better? of course he does, but he chooses winning over all else..

Some points for you, No.1 You go on in the chat about how ill do anything to win and the ranks etc mean everything to me....yet your the one writing me salty message after message. You try to hint that I would cheat or hack, yet you know nothing about me, for you info I have never cheated, never had a vac, steam or any ban, infact i hate cheaters what you can see in the majority of my youtube videos (search "Tony Minter" on youtube) what are player reports after player reports of hackers. I also used run a Arma 3 Exile server for over a year with a massive anti cheat/anti hack ethos, infact this was the main reason I set the server up. No.2 I agree that some units are not ballanced, PCH AA is too weak, artially is BS, top teir air is too strong, some ground units are good some are pointless, but I dont make the game, I dont suggest that the imbalance is good, I always say the game needs balancing better. But do you think that when I get bombered (happened alot), Atheria spammed, artiary spammed I message that person for over 30 mins telling them that they are such a "bad person" and how do they "sleep at night".......come on man get a life, its not my fault! No.3 I have used bombers to kill people off but its not my only tactic, if so I would have 0 Sub wins right? Plus there are plenty of matches where i dont build them. I didn't also relise that you are the moral police for Ashes. So anything that you think is wrong with the game is the players fault for using it? or is it actually that the game needs more tweeks to balancing? I have an idear for you, insted of messaging me for 30 mins plus make a fourm post to the devs, im sure the majority of players will agree with you including myself! Everything in ashes is spam when it comes down to it its a mass unit RTS. You spam units of what ever type. Its for the devs to try and get the balance right. No.4 "he has over 300 hrs", "do you think he knows better?", well im sure you prob have 1000's of hours in a thing that I like to call "life". Another option is to play custom games with pre set rules. Alot of people do that rather then playing in the ranked matches.

I've played vs TonyJohnMinter many times and yes he does like to mass bombers of one kind or another. That's still not an excuse to spew that much cringe inducing bile at him. 

I have to hand it to the OP for keeping his cool. I know what I would choose if I had to choose which was worse, someone using an "OP" tactic in a game, or someone who verbally attacks someone in a seemingly slightly unhinged internet tirade. 

That verbal abuse is more likely to put off new and old players alike.

for sure guys.. either way it had the desired effect on the individual to whom it was directed. tony, and who ever else reads this, is hopefully made aware of how annoying this issue is.

since it seems i need to explain this: when dealing with a player who abuses an ingame mechanic to get ahead, there are a number of ways of dealing with the issue:

1. balance the issue out (taking forever since u guys inadvertently voted for it)

2. group together and convince the player to not abuse the system (this happens in TT games)

3. flame him

i could pick any words i wanted to, the point is to make the guy angry/frustrated etc, to bring to his attention that what he is doing is not nice, just as the words directed at him are not nice. u think he wouldve listened if i spoke nicely? even though he does this all the time, has 300+ hours so is fully aware of the game mechanics.. no it would not have had any effect, thus the flaming. maybe he will continue to do it... maybe not. it has worked in the past, it will continue to work in the future, if not on everyone.. some are too self centred to realise the effect of their actions

anyway, i have a temporary solution, whoever thinks abusing a broken mechanic like rush/spamming the unstoppable strat bombers is a valid strategy, then just let me know if i find u in ranked. i will simply surrender or AFK, so u can snipe my HQ. im serious. let me know. and depending on whether i have something else to do, ill AFK, or if im keen to play something else ill surrender.

if the ladder, or seeing "victory" on ur screen means that much then im willing to help

What "effect" are you referring to here anyway? That you felt frustrated at losing?

There is no such thing as "rushing" a PHC strategic bomber. They rarely appear in 1v1s. They are also being nerfed in the next patch. You're delusional in feeling justified in harassing someone because of a unit they built in a video game. 

This is the problem with the internet. It immortalizes conversations and situations like this.

 

IT turns such incidents into something that people invest time in.
