Tech Stat confusion

Does anyone know or is there a list of what stats work with what.

The schema's are not much help.

e.g.

Modifier EffectType can have any value from the StatTypes Enums list.

There are 254 different StatTypes many of which don't apply to the tech tree directly.

Any advice?

You can check what uses what stats using 'liststat' cheat on a selected entity.
