Do anyone else's units sit like dumplings while they get destroyed?

Noticed this in a couple of games.

I know there is an AI / controllability issues here - you can't have your troops constantly chasing down the enemies, when they have been directed to stand at a location.

BUT... there has to be a happy medium.

Fire back, but don't move... or give a small radius for return fire... at least.

Anyone else notice this?

I've seen it too. I don't know what the standard settings are but there is a bug in there too. I've seen units not fire back at all when fired upon and the enemy is right there next to them. You have to do something with them to "wake them up" so to speak.

u sure the units werent out of energy? (subs)

otherwise im having the same issue with PHC when they take a node and new creeps spawn, have to retarget the creeps, lazy units wont auto shoot half the time

Fair question, but no, its with the PHC.

To be honest, once you start the process of capturing a node I think the creeps should stop spawning. Seems a simple solution to the armies not capturing nodes properly when you've queued them up.

Actually, first time I noticed it, I was playing substrate. Some of my fighters were just circling while the enemy's planes were swooping in, ignoring my fighters, and bombing my node. LOL. Happened to me TWICE before I decided to watch it happen a third time. GARRISONING FIGHTERS AT THE NODE WAS WORTHLESS.

Other than that, you are generally correct. Seems to be more an issue with PHC. :)

Don't encourage half-baked solutions. :)

Should be done right. :)

yeah it would be good if the untis were more responsive, a hold ground, or defensive stance would be nice
