CursorFX Plus: Trails installation?

Windows 10

Searches turned up conflicting info; some posts said that trails should be placed directly in the main CursorFX folder, others stated that with CursorFX Plus there should be a subdirectory folder labeled "Trails". I have what I believe to be CursorFX Plus (I paid for it, downloaded it, installed it, the start menu icon says it is plus though when I bring it up there is nothing on its main screen - CursorFX control panel - nor in the "About" section to indicate that it is plus, just the version number of 2.16).

So when I download these nice looking trails from WinCustomize, how do I get them to become selectable in the Trails section?

In Windows 10, trails are found with the CursorFX themes.

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes

They need to be a CursorFX file, not just a folder with images.
