@ShadeDark: My thoughts in BLUE below.

Ship 1:  3 sections and a core of pure energy? these guys are fancy! they look advanced but so... old, at the same time, like an old advanced civilization! also i bet it weapons are energy based and shot out of the core! - OMG, I thought the same thing. It looks like it was built by a civilization that far predates current alien races in the galaxy. And they're slow, lumbering and wise, barely touched by the events of the current races. Like they exist in a reality that spans so far back into history, this time period is but a blip on their timeline.

Ship3: Dark energy core, sideways wings and small port! yes, i do like this one! what caught anyone's attention is clearly the core, at quick glance this look like an enemy ship, but i think they just happens to have a dark hole in their ships! but i do think Space Pirate ring nicely with this visual! How interesting! It's got all the visual queues about an evil ship, that dark purple, the black hole in the center... yet, everyone on here, including myself, still somehow sees this ship as one of the good guys??! That's brilliant ship-crafting right there. 

Ship 7: Ur-Quan ship much? it reminds me of the Ur-Quan Kzer-Za ships (but not green) it looks majestic and royal, like ROYALTY, like a king should be at the helm! it looks very impressive and MASSIVE! You know, I would expect it to be massive, as well - but in the movie uploaded, you clearly see it at the end, maneuvering to attack the player - and it doesn't seem really all that big. Quite speedy, too, zippin' around on an intercept course. 


Ship 9: Or this is the Police or the Garbage Ship! i can see some trash retrievers or police bikes... i dunno! i just think this ship is working hard and receiving little for its job, damn economy. This is HILARIOUS! Working hard and receiving little for its job... definitely a junker ship! 
 

Ship 10: I'm... intrigued, VERY intrigued by this one, it looks advanced beyond comprehension, like, you don't see guns, engine or even a bridge, it does NOT looks practical, and that's why it looks advanced, because if this works like any other ship, than this race knows how to put much in less. There is no doubt in my mind - this ship comes from... the *outside*. They will be cryptic, at times helpful, at times seemingly unhelpful. Always pursuing SOMETHING, but never quite letting on about what they are working toward. You may not always understand them, but their plan is more important to them than any alliance we may want with them. I see them as being above all that, their own goals, their own motivations - and if it calls them to destroy the Scryve one day, they may very well decide to destroy YOU the next.

Ship 13: THE SMALLEST SHIP! It's so cute! it looks like a rocket! and... it's engines are trying to compensate for its size! it must be the quickest ship too, i wonder if the Race is small or its like the Thraddash and they use one-soldiers ships. If this isn't piloted by a hilarious, fun-loving, insane, slightly-idiotic animal-like space cowboy sidekick that loves going in with guns blazing, shoot first and forget to ask any questions after, I'll be pissed! He should be like Rocket Raccoon, just blastin' fools and smart-mouthing the badguys and loving life while its 8 engines are firing at once. Need another small, zippy ship like this one!!
 

Ship 14: I CANNOT understand this ship its upright? its this way? it has a blue core, and it's very advanced... i have nothing to add, only that this one is my favorite! if not only for being the most weird to me! The completely alien design of this ship is like nothing we've ever seen before. It's beyond human comprehension and that bodes well for Stardock as this game's creator. Their head is in the right place. But uhh... how the frick does it even fly?!
 

Ship 15: Okay... number14 is my favorite but DAMN! Bowser Brought a Ship??? i thought you guys were using Mario Galaxy only as a reference! jokes aside, i think every fan of StarControl will notice that this ship is in contrast of the Ship7, like a dark twin... like a Kohr-Ah to their Kzer-Za... if they are not evil, i will be disappointed! I just don't approve of the designers re-using the dark matter core of ship #3 over again with this design. It seems redundant. Surely there are other ways to power a ship... right? #11 does it by spewing noxious gas out its behind! You guys have to come up with something else to set this apart! Otherwise, it's a red of #3 and #7 combined. Rehash of old ideas.

I like all of those ships, especially 1, 9 and 10. Lot of diversity and that gives a lot of hope that races using them are also very different from each other. Good job!
