Kotaku Australia: Star Control Will Be Stardock's Biggest Game

Kotaku Australia has a quick article up on Stardock Control!

"It’s a move designed not to interfere with the canon of the first three games that were released in the 1990’s. But perhaps of more interest is the fact that more staffers from Ashes of the Singularity and Offworld Trading Company have now been redeployed to work on Star Control, making it Stardock’s biggest game ever.

“The new Star Control game is the biggest game we’ve ever made,” Wardell wrote. “Its budget is bigger than the combined budgets of all the games we’ve released in the past few years.”

Very cool to hear how much of a commitment is being made to the project. Many of Stardock's games have great attention to detail so it is reassuring to hear that you are really bringing all forces to bear on the development of this.

If you can bring the concept art of those planet environments to life, it will have all been worth it!

My excitement for the Star Control franchise has been renewed :) Back to your roots, Stardock. I remember I unlocked the Battleship in Stellar Frontier!
