Update coming soon?

Ok, So I am unable to get DeskScapes to work properly. Whenever I restart my computer it freezes. It randomly freezes when I'm on my computer.

I am running Windows 10 - 64 bit

I have done the standard troubleshooting, and run it in compatibility mode. Did a fresh install. Use the KLight Codec pack. and so on.

When I select a background, and apply it, sometimes it works, other times I get the Active Movie Window...

Any help for this?

What version of Deskscapes are you using?

Typically an ActiveMovie window means your codecs (if you are on 64 bit you need 64 bit Codecs) are not capable of Windowless rendering which would suggest they are pretty old.

Deskscapes 8, and my codec are updated as well. I did another fresh reinstall, and this time (I thought I had done this before as I did have a product key) I installed Start 8 along with it. Both were installed using the troubleshooter, as compatible with windows 8, and it seems to be working right now. Every time I turn my computer off and on again It's still working... I don't know if its a combination of having the updated K-Light (Basic) 64-Bit codec, Un-checking the Show task view button from the task bar (bypassing Task View) or the fresh install with Start 8, or what, but it seems to be working. I don't want to jinx things by trying to run Task View or Active Movie Window (Which hopefully never pops up again) But it does seem to transition correctly when I switch between backgrounds using the Configure Deskscapes. I will try this on my other Windows 10 Computer, and hopefully it fixes the issue their too. Thank you for your assistance. Hopefully this gives assistance to anyone else having these issues.

P.S. I would still like to get Deskscapes 10. This could feature its own Codec instead of relying on others, and maybe have whatever features of Start 8 that makes Deskscapes 8 work installed with it. :-)
