Just noticed an issue in this latest build.  When you hover over a running app preview in the taskbar for media programs such as winamp, wmp, groove, vlc, you are unable to hit the back, pause/play, or forward buttons in the preview.  The preview immediately closes.  So, you are forced to open the app up entirely to make those selections.  Did not have this issue in the last build.

You need to move your cursor into the thumbnail for the 'reveal hover' when the thumbnail takes on the accent color, (pic 2),

as opposed to a preview hover from the taskbar, (pic 1), then you'll be able to utilize the controls.

The beta fixed the problem of my wife's PC not booting to the desktop after the W10 anniversary update.

First hiccup with WB. When I open the GUI to change skins WB takes a few seconds before the name of the skin comes up in the window and when I do change skins WB is choppy. Meaning it loads parts of the skin at a time instead of a smooth transition.

So after trying the new beta of WB with Steam overlay when playing a game I still get that one issue with the D key when trying to chat over steam in game. So does this mean the issue with the D key can not be fixed in any future updates for WB? I know of a slight way around it that was shared with me before by adding the games/steam to the do not apply to WB list but it doesn't fully work all the time. Plus its tedious to have to try to add every game to the list to not have WB applied to them.

What is the issue with the 'D' key?  Did you create a case with support?  Ticket ID?

Does this happen every time or just the first change of a session or the first time that skin is loaded?  Every skin?

Quoting CeruleanSwift,

So after trying the new beta of WB with Steam overlay when playing a game I still get that one issue with the key when trying to chat over steam in game. So does this mean the issue with the D key can not be fixed in any future updates for WB? I know of a slight way around it that was shared with me before by adding the games/steam to the do not apply to WB list but it doesn't fully work all the time. I have opened a case in the past but the resolution to my problem does not fix the issue entirely with the D key in steam overlay chat. When in game and you go to steam overlay chat to talk to someone in chat. In some games if you are typing and hit D key it will either shrink the game to a small box, or reposition it on screen to ruining the alignment of the game.

I know you can turn off WB skin for some of the games by adding steam client to the DO not skin list, but this does not work for all of them. Or its tedious to have to go through a list of the games just to add them on the Do not skin list.

Yay! I'm a happy camper.  First and foremost, the issue I had recently with the taskbar not skinning fully has gone away with the install of the beta and secondly, a plus that I was NOT expecting, but I'm ecstatic about it: My Start Menu is now skinned as well. I don't use Start 10, and it is now skinned as well.  Huzzah!! - Thanks for that nice surprise! Up until now, I just did my best to ensure my Window's Personalization color was as close to possible as the theme I chose for the day and made do with that. Now, it's all in sync.  Awesome.  :meow:

"OS ribbon controls (not Office) now pickup skin colouring" feature is not stable. After some time it reverts to default windows 10

Try installing 10.4.6 beta and see if that helps. Available on your Stardock store account.
