Unable to communicate with teammates

I can not speak in a game network with my teammates . This worked previously but are no longer Ver 1.7 . What can I do?

Select a ship or planet of your team mate.  Use the Speak To command there.  You can also find them if you go into Diplomacy, contact another race, then use the sideways arrows to reach your team mate.

Known issue by the devs. As others have stated there other ways to start Diplomacy with your team mate.

If you look at the Mini Map in game, then click on the Power Tab, click on your team mate here, works fine.

We have a fix for this coming out in 1.81
