Went to 10

Now my user control won't work

I finally upgraded to Win 10 and it went smoothly and pretty fast. I then bought the new Windowblinds 10 because I always have to have that. BUT, after I downloaded Windowblinds and started to install, the user control popped up asking if I wanted to go ahead with it and it didn't have a YES or NO button! It's just blank. I can't install anything and I even went to the master control and said turn it off, but it has the same pop up with no buttons! I can't change anything. Can somebody help? I really don't want to do a recovery and lose anything. And I checked, I AM logged in as Administrator.

Press the left arrow on your keyboard once and then press the Enter key.  That should accept the prompt.

Also, I just found that the Control Panel interface will open but it won't populate. And clicking the arrow to show hidden icons on the taskbar doesn't work either. X(

It all worked before the "upgrade".

I waited all this time to move to 10 because I was afraid of this sort of thing.

Any other ideas I can try?

Click ctrl-shift-esc and you'll load Task Manager.

From there you can kill all sorts of things....even good old exploder [explorer.exe - the shell]...;)

Open settings, click on Update and Security, click on Recovery, Go to Reset this PC and click on Get Started. Click on Keep my files and you won't lose anything and this will reinstall Windows. It sounds like something didn't get installed right.

Nothing worked, I started to reset it but it said if I did I couldn't go back to 8.1 if I wanted to, so I just went back to that. Now my question is, I bought Windowblinds 10, can I use it on 8.1?

Hit Start button. Go to all programs. Scroll to Windows System. Open Control Panel.

Go to User Accounts. Click on Change User Account Control settings.

 

Turn that shit off.
