Well it looks like there won't be a new trial and Gawker Media owes Hulk Hogan 140 million dollars. So they did what they could I guess and declared bankruptcy. I'm glad to see them go, though I will slightly miss io9 and jalopnik. As for the rest of their properties, it couldn't have happened to a more deserving group of organizations.

I don't know about in the US, but Here in Australia declaring bankruptcy does not absolve anyone of court appointed debt: eg; fines; court/legal costs; damages, etc.

As for Hulk Hogan, who'd wanna see him play hide the sausage with anyone anyway? 

Frankly, I'd rather watch grass grow or rust forming on aluminium... yes, aluminium. :grin:
