While I love the things the Ai says to me <early on>, Please, Stardock, give me the snarky thing to say to the ai later on. What I would love is to go back to this arrogant SoB while I am defeating their fleets and say, "Who is getting crushed now"?????

It does not even have to have a tie to any function, just the satisfaction of me being able to reply snarkily would make me feel better...

Just a thought...

I tell you a secret... these ominous AIs you wanna talk to... <alert spoiler> they don't really have a true consciousness, like you & me etc <spoiler ends> so it's not really important or significant or makes a lot of sense to begin with to tell it things it can't understand anyway... although, maybe, yes perhaps for roleplaying purposes ok but you could instead, just try to replace actual reality with your fantasy as well to achieve whatever results you'd like to wish to achieve... if that works for you... it seems to work for me... mostly... :P

Well if your talking about extortion yes. It changed depending on your power rating. The ai did have this cool feature where it would contact you to brag about what it was doing with research. I'm all for this option even if it would be for aesthetic purposes. This should incur a diplomacy penalty on whom you are doing this to.

I would just put in a Diplomacy dialogue box where you could type anything in you wanted.  There wouldn't be any parsing of what you typed, but you could get it said.  :)

Yea , I know its a game and the ai are not real. However when they pop up I would just love to have a snappy retort. It really is a minor thing but tiny things like this give life to the game and can go a long way to immersion.

Agreed, i love the snappy retorts too.  Hoping the diplo overhaul will add many more AND that they correlate better to the actual state of the game at the time.
