Hi ,

Map editing is fun :-) but..

how can i edit the preview image ?

it apears only in black/white and without any start Position numbers.

Not possible to do that now, waiting for the Dev's to update the Map editor, and i think that will come when the Steam Workshop get enabled in the game.

There are many paint programs that can open dds files as they've been one of the standard formats for years.  The start positions should be automatically added when you run the game.

Does that mean that the people on GOG won't be able to get a revised map editor?

I actually use the GIMP to make most of the preview images you see ;) They're 512x512 single-layer DDS images.

Start positions are defined in LobbyOverlay.dds which is also a 512x512 image. Though they're generated automatically on our internal build; not sure when that's going out to public if it isn't already.

Also, the start position order is defined by the order you put the Nexuses on the map. You can do a hacky manual assignment by noting which Nexuses are assigned to which start number in-game, then dragging them around to different positions in the editor.
