Is Soundpackager compatible with Win10

Windows 10 Compatibility

https://www.stardock.com/products/soundpackager/

Just as the title ask I want to know if Stardock's SoundPackager is compatible with Windows 10?

However system requirements for SoundPackager indicate Windows 7/Vista making me a bit leery about making the purchase. I suppose I could try the trial but would prefer not to waste time. If someone whose used it on Win10 and could chime in to confirm I'd appreciate it. TY

Greetings, name's ultranox.

I've found a workaround that can help get sound packager installed on win 10. What you need to do is run the installer in compatibility mode for vista SP2 from the properties menu, also while you are there it wouldn't be a bad idea if you checked the run as administrator box as well. after it's installed locate the the program folder then the executable file it's self. Right click, Go to properties, select the compatibility tab. Set to run this program in compatibility mode for vista SP2. Again, while you are there it wouldn't be a bad idea if you checked the run as administrator box too (to save time with that little UAC goodie Microsoft has so graciously given to us). After that you are all set and ready to pimp yo rig.

Thank You ultranox1337 for sharing that. I just want to confirm you have it working on a Windows 10 x64 machine?

It's a shame the program isn't natively compatible with windows 10. Back when Vista was available there wasn't much need for a sound manager/packager I had at least 10 different soundscapes available through "Sound" appellate. Now with Windows 10 there is only one default sound package unless you download a theme from MS there are some with a sound package included with the theme (DELTA) but you can't access it for use with another theme and it does not appear in the appellate's drop down anymore.

Now more than ever this program is needed. I can't see spending money on something that may or may not work or you have to jump through hoops to make it work. It seems to me @Stardock need to give Soundpackager some Love and bring it into the 21st century.

the link is the evidence of the workaround. As for nativley running, not so much but the sounds do work. I most certainly agree that @stardock needs to release a native compatibility patch. mabey the'll do it when they get back from summer vaycay... (nudge nudge wink wink @stardock.)
