I have just forgot to update the Installation.txt file, I have merged Cosmetic into the [For Your Games Directory] folder.

It looks like your tougher difficulty levels did not make it into the Beta 1.0 Release.

My Games / GalCiv3 / Mods / Galactic Star Trek Beta 1.0 / Game / GalCiv3AIDefs.xml

seems to be the vanilla difficulty file

Thats correct, I am testing the water with the AI changes brought about with 1.9/2.0, you will also notice most of AI Tweaks is also missing, again for the same reason. Once I have a game or 2 under my belt to see how the AI is, I will revaluate what needs to be adjusted.

Couple issues.....

1) The race graphics are missing.  e.g. leader portraits, and all inhabited planets show up as ''?'' on the galaxy map rather than showing the symbol of the race that controls that planet

2) Starbases can no longer be both econ sb's and mining sb's.  Same as in vanilla GalCiv3, SB's in the Star Trek mod are now an either/or type of thing, meaning that if you add an econ ring module then you are unable to also add a mining ring module.  If this change was on purpose or if it became hardcoded in 2.0, then the minimum distance between SB's needs to be reduced.

You installed Beta 1.0 right? Then the 1.01 Patch?

Soudn to me like you just installed the Patch. Which well is a patch you need the main file first :)

Quick Q, If I copy one of your civ's, so I can edit it to my liking, that shouldn't cause any issue should it? Was playing around a bit before I noticed you updated with 1.02, so thought I would ask while I update...

Is the version 1.02 a FULL Version ?
As the civs don't show up in my game

PS: Tried to use it for a MP game, so brother and I copied everything over to the vanilla directory ... 
but still no star trek civs

I must say a big thankyou for picking up where i left off with Star Trek Civilizations. Unfortunately due to some medical issues ive been unable to use my hands for coding so its really nice to see that work put to use. Thanks as well for crediting the content creators for their ships/starbases etc.

Please feel free to use any of my other ships in your mod, they are all canon (although some are of course from Abramsverse).

Keep up the good work!

And the game doesn't enter. I have to delete the folder at /MyGames to make the game work again, but the mode it doesn't there any more.

Are you patched upto date?

You can just delete the offending file btw (My Games/Mods/Galactic Star Trek/Game/ESL_ShipComponentDefs.xml)

Amazing job on the Beta mods as usual. I ran into an interesting bug in 1.02, and I apologize if you've already addressed it in 1.03, but wanted to point it out just in case (I haven't updated to 1.03 yet because I don't want to screw up this saved game). Somewhere around turn 300 a bunch of Class 25 planets randomly appeared in existing star systems (as far as I can tell) across the whole map. It certainly made for some interesting rushes to colonization!

Upcoming Update: 1.04 -


Reduced Admins from Colony Captial to 1.
Fixed Karemman missing Images.
Fixed Valiant Starbases.
Increased the amount of Minors per map size.
Military Ring increases Attack and Defense by 25%.
Added a flat production point value to the new Precursor Worlds.
Added Mega City and Gaian Planets to the Precursor list.
Re-added Star Trek flavor text for Tech names, Planet Traits and Events.
Re-added Custom Tech trees for Minor Civs.
Added Trader trait to all Minor Civs.
Redesigned Engines:
    All ships have a Base of 1 Movement.
    Warp Core grants 3 Movement (1 per ship)
    Warp Core Techs grant +2 Movement per Class Tech.
    Warp Nacelle's grant +10% Movement (Stackable, 14 Mass + 5% Scaling)
    There are 5 upgrades available which brings Movement upto 14 base. Plus any Nacelle's you stack, Traits and Techs.
    Impulse Drives add +2% Movement.
Tweaked Ship Blueprints.
+1% Evasion to Impulse Drives.
Re-hidden vanilla Factions from selection.
Removed vanilla Minor races.
Consolidated ESL Ship Components into one Component due to a bug with the base games use of "One Per Ship".
Added 9 bare bones Factions to replace the Vanilla ones:
    Vaadwaur, B'omar, Krenim, Xindi, Suliban, Haakonian, Alsauran, Kazon and Hirogen.
    They all use a Default Tech tree and the Vanilla Shipsets.
    They are not currently ment to be played, just there as fillers for larger map sizes.

 

Should be out early next week at the latest (I need to finish a couple test games).
