Rebellion Query

Presently enjoying Sins of a Solar Empire.

Sins Rebellion has been recommended to me.

Please advise if this is a "Steam" only game.

I'm in rural S.C and must use satellite (Hughes) for my internet. Their bandwidth doesn't allow me to utilize Steam.

Thanks.

Rebellion's also on gog, which would allow you to get the game drm-free.

But if you're looking for a physical release no help there.

Here's a hard copy I found on Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/Sins-Solar-Empire-Rebellion-Ultimate-DVD/dp/B00YUZEMK0/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1460157090&sr=8-5&keywords=sins+of+a+solar+empire+pc

It's got all the DLC, soundtrack and a manual.  $29.99

I hope it's what you are looking for.  I love having the boxes and the packaging in this version is very nice.

Be sure to check out the Sacrifice of Angels 2 mod if you like Star Trek.  In fact go over to modDB and search for Sins and bask in the glory of the modding community in general.

backs out of the room slowly...  *_* :borg:

That's the European release of Rebellion. As far as I know it mainly exists so that non-English European players can get the game in their language. Granted it may not be region locked, but I'd do some more research on it first.

There is not a physical release intended for the US.

Thanks Red.

That version is also advertised on eBay for sixteen dollars. Its a Steam only version.

Got sucked in on a SupCom Gold title like that. Live and learn.

Thanks GoaFan. Always helpful.

Checked GoG where I have purchased games before.

Have to think about spending fifty bucks for a game that I have to down load.

Appreciate the input.

Well the nice thing about digital games is that they go on sale for deep discounts more often. At least a few times a year it goes 66%-75% off.

Thanks for that GF.

I usually get heads up from GoG when they have sales.

If I can get at least half off, I'll add it to my library.

Cheers!
