Yea. There's many I wonder about.

Another oldie but goodie I really miss is SleepingDragon.

I remember them. If it's who I'm thinking of they used to come to me all of the time for graphics advice, as if I knew something they didn't. Was so cute, endearing. Fantastic artist whose self-doubt was unwarranted. ♥

Yeah, SD was a great artist and a decent guy who made me feel so welcome when I first joined WC  Sadly, I don't think he's coming back, it has been quite some years since he was last logged in.

In any event, I hope he's safe and well. :)

Hi starkers and mrs starkers and jafo and teddybearcholla and everyone. I stop by once in a while.

A few years ago it was discovered that I had a serious blood disorder after I had a series of strokes and a cerebral bleed. Each stroke caused different areas of brain damage aso I was forced to retire from teaching. At one point I couldn't even read. Things have gotten better, although slow going.

I do still like to download window blinds and icons occasionally.

I'm so sorry to hear about your health issues and hope you can continue to improve.  I have health issues of my own, the two main ones being arthritis and vertigo, but they are nothing compared to yours.  I could not imagine not being able to read or use fully my mind to manage life's ups and downs.  Hopefully you are still able to do pretty much everything for yourself without too much difficulty.  My grandmother had a series of strokes in her late 60's and was still quite lucid and cognitive afterwards.  She died in her sleep at 87, probably of old age.

Anyway, it is nice to see you here and hopefully you'll be able to visit more often. :)

Yeah, I turn 63 in a couple of months and the ailments keep piling up.  Well it's not so much that they keep piling up, it's just that I'm at the doctors more often cos the ones I got never seem to get better.... not that arthritis ever does, being the degenerative disease it is.  As for the vertigo, I am in discussions with my doctor about the use of medical marijuana to help with the nausea and dizziness, etc.  I am allergic to the regular stuff people use as a recreational drug, but with the 'high-giving' ingredient being extracted, we're hoping I'll be able to use the medical stuff as nothing thus far has helped that much.

Now some people would say I have a mental illness as well, but that is NOT the case.  I am a lunatic by choice.   It's what helps me through the day when I have arthritic pain and symptoms of vertigo.

Yup, lunacy, my drug of choice.  o_O :P :d

As for being on the mend, well it's not likely to happen in my case, at least not with the arthritis, but I manage the best I can with what I've been dealt and I'm happy.  That's the important thing, hey!

:) |-)

That's not a good thing to have, either.  It's something that occurs in older people, usually, but I once worked with a bloke who started to develop Dupuytren's at just 35... in both hands.  By the time he was 37 he had to quit work because his hands were near useless.  Surgery did improve his right hand minimally, but the result was not what he'd hoped for and he didn't bother with the left.

That was 30-something years ago, so hopefully the procedure has much improved since then and that yours is more successful.

I have loads of people on FB.

Unfortunately, as they use their real names, I have no idea who most of them are... 8C

Sometimes I have requests to add someone as friend... if I don't recognize the name I say no.  If we could use our nicks, that could be a different story!  ;)

Hi Fuzzy! It's been a while. Hope all is well with you.

SleepingDragon got lured back into the real world by off-roading. I used to see a lot of his photos posted on another site (DA I think) and I know he visited here for several years after but didn't post much. I'd be interested in what Bichur was up to as well. Such a comedian.

Interesting post!
