Activation Limit

I just got a pop-up stating maximum activations reached?

I bought Window blinds several years ago and have reformatted my HDD many times since because of viruses or PC upgrades and I have no idea what to do about this message.

Do I now need to buy the product again?

Can this be reset?

I have tried using the "contact us" link but the form did not appear to send

Please help

I've had this before, just contact customer service (pretty sure) and ask them to reset the activation count, they usually do it with no issues.

I have submitted a ticket, but I am also wondering how to prevent this from happening again.

I reformat a half dozen or more times a year to keep my PC clean and running smooth, so I will be doing it again

I dunno what you do with your PC, man, but REFORMATTING your HDD several times a YEAR is definitely crazy. No, it is insane :) Why won't just buy KIS (Kaspersky Internet Security) and have the perfectly clean PC with no need of reformatting ever? And Windows itself is for a long time already is VERY stable OS, in no need of reinstalling every time when something goes wrong, if ever :)

I test software for viruses.

And having an antivirus just makes it harder to scan files.

I reformat every 30-60 days and will keep doing so as long as I test the stuff

WIf you click on the "About" box in the program window there is a "Deactivate license" box. Can that possibly work for you before you reformat?

Don't send in another ticket till you get a reply. If you do you will keep moving to the bottom of the list.

You said you bought WB a long time ago and this is the first you are running into this. You may need to explain to Statdock a bit better about what you are doing. They have the Deactivate in there for a reason to make sure people aren't sharing with all their friends for free. That is the reason I'm saying you should explain you usage needs to Stardock.

May also want to list the OS you are using.

Never knew there was a deactivate.

Never had windows installed long enough to check

Can't see how that would make any difference. Weather you deactivate before you reformat or not. You still have to activate after you install it again and each one would count towards whatever number it is before it won't let you do it again.

On all the newer Stardock apps, there is a button that allows you to manage/deactivate license before you reformat. Do this, and you'll not get activation limit errors.

PS as it turns out, there is no way to deactivate the version of window blinds that I have
