Start menu options no longer available

Despite the fact that I can select either W7, Modern, or W10 Start Menu style only W10 is loading.  I can change the Start icon and various other options but as far as the 'style' of Start Menu is concerned I am now locked into W10.

Any solutions to this problem?

TIA

How do you mean you're locked into the W10 menu?

If I interpret the question correctly, I have a similar problem.

I used to be able to right click on a program on the Task Bar and I would get a menu of choices. Now that I upgraded to Windows 10 and Start10, I get nothing when I right click on the program icon.

Thank you for any assistance,

Ron

Start10 should not alter the right click menu you get when you right click on a program icon in the taskbar.

You should still get the usual jump list showing close and pin at a minimum.

Those menus are provided by the same process that provides the Windows 10 style start menu and it is a known problem of Windows 10 where the Windows 10 start menu fails to function correctly on some computers especially if your computer has yet to update to the November update of Windows 10 which contains fixes for some of the more common reasons for this (happens 30 days after your install of Win10).  This problem with the Win10 menu would happen with or without Start10.

One way to check if that is the issue is to set Start10 to use the Windows 10 menu.  If the menu does not work then that's the issue.
