Searchbar not finding programs

When I type in the name of a program I want to use in the searchbar of the Start10 menu, often times the program doesn't show up. Simply typing: 'Notepad' or 'Spotify' doesn't display the programs as a result. It does display serveral other files found on my computer, but not the program I'm looking for!
