Quasispace and other Dimensions

My favourite thing about Starcon 2, especially the first time was the the whole idea of exploring the unknown.

This was further enhanced by quasispace environment, which not only provided the ability to travel across the universe, but was initially a trail and error method of figuring out where you would end-up, run out of fuel, and get fleeced by the Melnorme.

Are there any plans to create multi-dimensional spaces which could be similar to quasispace?

Hyperspace, Quasispace, Subspace, Personalspace...

It would be cool to see multiple overlapping areas that are somewhat related/reminiscent of each other but can be complete separate sandboxes.  Perhaps stars and planets are mirrored, but with differences in make-up/materials. 

So Quasispace was a shortcut to points in Hyperspace... maybe there is an 'other' space that forms bridges to points in Hyperspace or regular space that are otherwise unreachable by normal means.  Maybe entry points to this 'other' space are guarded (think of towers in Master of Magic, if you're old enough to remember) or have to be broken through with some technology.  Maybe there are inter-dimensional materials that only exist in 'other' space. For that matter, maybe there are aliens that can only be found in 'other' spaces (ie, xenophobic Arilou-types).
