NASA has just released 8,400 lunar mission photos

Turns out that during all those Apollo missions astronauts were clicking away like crazy…and a good thing too. After all, how else could we accuse NASA of Photoshopping everything?

So, NASA’s uploaded the treasure trove…8,400 pics from Apollo 7-Apollo 17.

You can see them here (organized by mission): https://www.flickr.com/photos/projectapolloarchive/albums/with/72157659052908231

or here: http://petapixel.com/2015/10/02/every-moon-photo-shot-by-apollo-astronauts-is-now-on-flickr/

Digg and PetaPixel have collections of their faves.

Anyway…have fun looking at very cool stuff…not just the boot print or the blue marble.

On a connected theme, if you can access BBC iPlayer, check out this. you won't regret it:
Sad, can not be played here...only if you're in the UK.  At least that is the message I get.  But I'm sure it is a great find also! :sun:

Thanks for sharing Doc!!! :sun:

The conspiracy theorists will say it took NASA 40 years to doctor all the photos.   o_O

Nah, they won't do that.... not when a lot of them show former US presidents talking with alien leaders. :-" :X

I love conspiracy theories as much as the next bloke - especially that one about the CIA consorting with aliens to resurrect Moses and some Egyptian mummies - but I do believe the moon landings actually happened.

And some people still (mistakenly) believe all the moon missions were done in a secret facility 'out west' somewhere.  LOL  Awesome photos!  :)  Thx Seth!
