The Greek Strategy for Naselus's Insane/Abundant Mod. I'VE REPLICATED THE AMERICAN ECONOMY IN GAL CIV III

Naselus's Insane/Abundant mod changed LEP from -0.2 morale to -0.2 MONEY per planet, making colonization past 50 planets virtually impossible in the early game.

That is, unless you adopt the GREEK STRATEGY:

IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MUCH DEBT YOU GO INTO AS LONG AS YOU CAN FIND SUCKERS WHO ARE WILLING TO FINANCE YOUR ECONOMY AND BUY YOUR BONDS.   :D :D :D :D :D :D

Consequently: build colony ships, and then build EVEN MORE COLONY SHIPS.

Once your economy crashes, TRADE AWAY PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING YOU HAVE FOR MONEY FROM THE AI.

This will finance FURTHER EXPANSION.

The net result?

I'm running -1000 credits/turn on 100+ colonies.  But that's cool because EVERY TIME I MEET A NEW RACE I TRADE FOR ALL OF THEIR MONEY.

Furthermore, with my 243 Sources of Durantium, I can continue trading away resources for money for a long, loooooong time.   :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I'VE REPLICATED THE AMERICAN ECONOMY IN GAL CIV III.   :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

It's gonna be fun to see what happens when you run out of suckers :) The AI tends to run out of cash too by around turn 150, and burns it's reserves to around 200.

Hopefully by then I would've built enough marketplaces and marketplace starbases.  I prioritized the population growth techs and the interstellar government techs.  Suicidal AI is actually HELPFUL with this strat because the AI has so much money.

(I sort of cheated in the early game by giving myself half a dozen extra techs so I could still build tiny hulled colony ships to try and match some of the AI bonuses, so during the expansion phase the AI is probably only at Genius, relatively speaking.  On the other hand, the AIs have also been buffed by me as well.  At the very least I changed all of their traits to "Expansionist."  And at least two of the AI were custom races that I intended to play for myself).

You, cheat??  No, I don't believe it....

Nevertheless, hats off to you finding yet another exploit and abuse of a system.   Any prelude to your next challenge?  I believe baby seals will yet to be born until winter, but if you check in the southern hemisphere, I'm sure you can find some recent newbirths.

This is just practice for the stock market.

Besides, I'm only copying what Americans do on a daily basis.

Capitalism, baby, capitalism!  :D :D :D

And besides, it's important to experiment... FOR SCIENCE!!!

you basically made an easier mod not an exploit. An exploit is in game. This is a modified mod. Everyone forgets the Ai in this mod is designed to make normal harder no else.

And of course I named the build DARCA. ;)

Still waiting for Windows 10 (or 9) and sweet sweet dx12...though I could start with Linux or win7. Point is I will be happy.

One for the OS'S and one for work. Though I wanted it for raid 1 (I love raid 1) but ssds can't do raid...sucks when I found that out. And a fyi, ssds are expected to take a huge price late this year. (Or so I'm told.)

EDIT* your right I added one that was too big, won't need it.
