Servo Lasher Model

Lashers, they can be either ranged attackers or melee, but either way they’re coming at you in swarms. Before the Lasher we had a beetle-like creature in the game that never really fit thematically. He just looked like a big bug, not the enraged bloom crazed enemy we were wanting to shoot at. We needed something that would fit with the game’s scale and still maintain believability in-game. One of the difficult tasks about making an RTS like Servo is finding the “right” scale. It’s a very delicate balance between reality and the Servo Universe, and our perception plays a big part of what is deemed as feeling correct.
The Lasher model sticks closely to the concept except you’ll notice that he’s a little thicker in some areas compared to the concept, as some design tweaks were made to insure readability while in game.
