Is this forum really sluggish or is it on my end?

Sometimes it won't load, but right now it's fine for me.  

Yes, I get the same thing sometimes. Like half the time it will take 20 s to load a page. And right now it was just 1-2 sec for this page.

Sometime the site is slow is this because many people are here or glitch

Not only is is slow when I click on various forum pages latelt, quite often when I click on 'My Replies' the page comes up blank when it does eventually load... as in the titlebar is there but nothing below it.  Refreshing the page most often doesn't fix it, either..

yep... so slow that often go to another tab to do other things while it loads.... and yeah...same prob as starkers...the blank page on my replies occasionally comes up..

it's never gonna get better...so just do the workaround... have other things open to do in slow loading times...

The forum search i the worst part. I click search and then go make a sandwich.

Not saying I'm glad you got it, but I am glad it's not just me... as in I was/am peculiar or something.

Orright, so I am peculiar, probably a bit eccentric, even, but I was talking about the forums playing up.

It's 2:27 AM in Tennessee and the forums are blazing fast for me. 

But then.....

Of course, I'm sure this has nothing at all to do with forum loading speed.

You are correct. Not often but for this you are. I'm double those speeds and it makes no difference. I go to some sites that load lots of adds first before you even get to see what you went to see. Those take forever. Xfinity, Verizon have wars here about who has the fastest speeds and try to sell people they are each the fastest and best. Take downloads they show on the commercials with super download speed. If a site isn't set up to download that fast you will wait.

No sense in getting excited or complaining about load times. It is what it is and even though I would like to see a much more modern WC layout, again it is what it is. Worry about things that require one to worry some.

It's all relative...back then I was on 56k dialup at $3 per hour....waiting cost me...

With my nice new machine the slowest thing it does is access the net....still...;p

My mistake about the same. Must have been looking at my age.   Unless one is on dial up it's really the different sites but you know that. Thought about what I just said but yes even a redneck would know that.

Interestingly I was the 3rd non-SD-located registered user, hence '23'.  The first 20 were SD-reserved.

Our forums have always been slow.  It's a constant battle of speeding it up versus the increasing traffic.
